No More "Click to activate"

Hi all, just a quickie to tell you about something good.

For the last year, we've all had to "click to activate" stuff - more precisely, embedded content like Flash movies; incredibly annoying on YouTube! - on the Web when using Internet Explorer. It looks something like this when you encounter it...

 

 

 

Irritating, an extra mouse click, I know, and the cause of this was a tussle between a company and the boffins at Microsoft.

But thank the lord that Microsoft has solved the problem by giving this other lot a big bag of money! And finally, those who use Internet Explorer - my favourite browser - can get rid of this irritation.

I think this is testament that one tiny thing can impact on so many peoples lives. One extra mouse click - for me, I have to do this extra click so many times daily, this update is the Holy Grail to me.

UPDATE - IMPORTANT NOTE: This is only a test version of the update. It works fine for me on Windows Vista, but may not for you. If you're worried, wait until the final version of this in April 2008. Sorry for not including this in the original blog post.
